After more than thirty years of hard work, ITRI’s tradition of excellence in industrial research is entering a new stage of technological innovation and radical change. In the past, ITRI has attentively pursued the global industrial technology current, learning and absorbing the worldwide standards. However, as consumer and business demands become more fluid and dynamic, ITRI aims to tackle the demands by spearheading original and innovative industrial research, transfer of technology, and product developments, thereby proliferating domestic and international industries. Therefore, ITRI has three core objectives: “Industrial Technology Research”, “Method and Knowledge Transfer”, and “Derived Value-Added Methods”
The Institute of Microelectronics (IME) is a member of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). Established in 1991 and ISO-9001 certified, IME's mission is to add value to Singapore's semiconductor industry by developing strategic competencies, innovative technologies and intellectual property; enabling enterprises to be technologically competitive; and cultivating a technology talent pool to inject new knowledge to the industry. R&D at IME covers the semiconductor technology chain, viz integrated circuit design, wafer fabrication process technology, packaging and assembly, and reliability testing and analysis. These R&D are classified under three laboratories, namely: Integrated Circuits and Systems (ICS), Microsystems, Modules and Components (MMC) and Semiconductor Process Technologies (SPT). IME collaborates closely with the world's leading companies, universities and research institutes, and conducts synergistic cross-disciplinary research through the following programmes: Bioelectronics, Nano Electronics, Nano Photonics, Miniaturised Medical Devices, Through-silicon via (TSV), and Sensors and Actuators Microsystems.
The Virginia Tech’s Microelectromechanical Systems Laboratory or simply VT MEMS Lab was established in 2005 by Prof. Masoud Agah. The lab resides within the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and is affiliated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the MicrON Research Group. The current research at VT MEMS Lab centers on the development of CMOS-compatible three-dimensional silicon micromachining techniques, smart microchip coolers, micro gas analyzers for environmental and healthcare applications, and biochips for cancer diagnosis and cancer treatment monitoring. In addition, the lab is pursuing research to merge MEMS (top-down approach) and nanotechnology (bottom-up approach) in order to enhance the performance of the microsystems under development in our group.
Danchip is the natural gateway to advenced developments within micro and nanotechnology. We are a center at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and we are central to the development of micro and nanotechnology in Denmark and abroad, as we both operate and maintain modern cleanroom facilities enabling optimum processing and develop broad technology bases/ The multitude of utilisations of our unique facilities are visalized by the star.

Kookje Electric Korea Co., Ltd. with putting all efforts on continuous research and development based on the company philosophy of being 'the Foundation of Korean Semiconductor Industry' was jointly established with worldwide semiconductor equipment maker Hitachi Kokusai Electric Inc. in May, 1993. Our goal is localizing the semiconductor equipment through the manufacture, sales of semiconductor & LCD equipment, maintenance and R&D. Our major products are the Vertical Diffusion Furnace proceeding isolation process and others by generating oxide films, and Vertical LP CVD System treats that generate crucial films of equipment. These equipment take charge of critical processes in high quality semiconductor productions.
Zomega Terahertz Corporation is focused on developing and deploying Terahertz-based technology solutions for both the public and private sector. We produce both pre-designed and custom systems for Time Domain Spectroscopy (TDS) and CW applications in both point measurement and imaging modalities, including the mini-Z 1000 compact THz TDS system for true turnkey operation and integration into larger systems requiring THz capabilities. In addition, we collaborate with the Center for Terahertz Research at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to push the frontiers of Terahertz science and commercialize new technologies.
