Human Machine Interface Market, Global Forecast & Analysis

Human Machine Interface (HMI) platforms are electronic devices that
enable interaction between operators and machines for industrial
processes. Operator interfaces play an important part in industrial
automation, enabling efficient operation and monitoring of essential
production devices. The role of HMI products is to deliver information
to operators, allowing them to run and maintain machines or processes,
and optimize the running of the equipment. The HMI system is integrated
with SCADA (to acquire data) or PLCs (to control the machines). HMI also
allows the incorporation of general automated functions and web-based
devices from the plant level to the enterprise level on a global basis. This report deals with all the driving factors, restraints, and
opportunities with respect to the HMI market, which are helpful in
identifying trends and key success factors for the industry. It provides
the competitive landscape of the players, which covers key growth
strategies, followed by all the major players. The report also
highlights the winning imperatives and burning issues pertaining to the
HMI market. The report also profiles companies active in the field of
HMI market. The report formulates the value chain of the HMI market; and
Porter’s five forces model.

Analysis of the Global Industrial Machine Vision Market

This research covers the global machine vision inspection market, which
underwent a period of recovery and adjustment in 2011. The 2009
recession led to a period of significant turmoil, with sales to primary
end users, including automotive and electronics and semiconductors,
being the worst affected. However, the market has demonstrated recovery
with traditional as well as emerging end-user segments driving sales of
new equipment. Despite uncertainty over economic conditions, the market
is poised for robust growth as industrial activity among emerging
economies continues at a rapid pace. This research contains revenue
forecasts to 2016.

World Rare Earths

Prices for rare earths have jumped dramatically in recent years,
particularly in the wake of unexpected cuts in China export quotas.
Pricing determinations are complicated by a dichotomy between pricing
within China and spot prices outside of China. It is anticipated that
prices will peak around 2013, when there will be downward pricing
correction as new industry entrants begin to operate at close to full
production capacity. Especially notable will be the elevated prices for
the light rare earth neodymium and the heavy rare earths dysprosium,
terbium and yttrium.

A Magnetic Moment: Prospects for MRAM Technology, Markets and Applications

Current charge-based semiconductor storage technologies such as SRAM,
DRAM, NOR flash and NAND flash face scaling challenges as geometries
shrink below 20nm. As a result, a marked increase in research activity
focused on alternative memory technologies has occurred over the last
decade. Non-charge storage-based memories such as FeRAM and MRAM
offer fast RAM-like performance along with non-volatility and extremely
high endurance. Although in commercial production, both suffer from
high costs vis-a-vis current technologies and have only been able to
address niche applications.
