Global Jumper Cable Market Declined 9.5% in Shipment Volumes and 4.3% in Revenues in 2011

The RF jumper cable market is the primary solution that interfaces the feeder cables and remote radio units (RRUs) to the BTS antenna.

In terms of jumper cable lengths, the 2m-5m jumper cable product segment remained the largest in 2011, followed by the less than 2m and the greater than 5m segments.
Weak end market demand in Asia Pacific (China and India) and other regions contributed to the overall decline. Western Europe was the only region to show growth in 2011.
Commscope retained its top ranking in total jumper cable revenues in 2011 followed by Radio Frequency Systems and Rosenberger Hochfrequenztechnik GmbH & Co. KG.
In revenue terms, the 1/2-inch superflex jumper cable market accounted 50.6% of overall market revenues in 2011 followed by the 1/2-inch standard jumper cables. Our research confirms that the 7/16 DIN straight male-male jumper cable segment remains the predominant jumper cable configuration at 70.4% of total shipments in 2011.
