This automated testing tool measures the ability of your workforce to evaluate lead free solder joints to IPC-A-610D Class 2 acceptance criteria. (Also available in a Class 3 version, part number: CD-LFE-3.) CD-LFE-2 comes complete with high quality images and questions in simple language. The exam contains 40 example solder joints - covering both surface mount and through-hole types. Some pictures are fairly obvious, while other images depict marginal situations designed to test the ability to discriminate on tough decisions. The results will tell you precisely who understands the A-610D acceptance criteria - and who needs additional training. This assessment program can be used for unlimited students at one facility. Average test time will be under 15 minutes per person, at the student's availability and convenience. There are no exams to grade and the entire evaluation is done automatically. All of the student records are stored in the program's internal database, which is accessible by an administrative password. The training records are easily exported with the click of a mouse to your company training database or learning management system. This program will run on a stand-alone computer or over your training network (LAN or WAN), but will not function across the internet.
