Memristor is developed by stacking a number of memory layers directly on the top of the processor layer. 500 billion memristor per layer at 5nm results in a development of very fast computer. This requires much less energy to operate and it can retain information even when there is a shut down. Memristor is faster than present solid-state storage technologies. Memristor Memory applications are used in electronic paper for more comfortable reading and in wearable computers, which could be used in medical monitoring and treatment.
