Electronics production in Canada increased by an estimated 4.8% in 2017 and compared to a modest decline of 0.4% in the prior year and the more substantial double-digit growth of 13.3% in 2015. Control and instrumentation was the second largest segment accounting for 28% of output in 2017. Following double-digit growth of 13.5% in 2015 growth was flat in 2016 but rebounded in 2017 increasing by 10.2% and is forecast to ease to 4.0% in 2018.
