The 2015 Discrete and Power Products Cost and Price Model revision 1504 is now available. The model now supports 255 processes, and 72 package types.

The IC Knowledge - Discrete and Power Products Cost and Price Model is the industry standard for cost and price modeling of high power silicon integrated circuits and discrete devices. To model low power silicon integrated circuits we recommend our IC Cost and Price Model.

The Discrete and Power Model is very easy to use, the user only has to make seven selections or entry's and there is help for many of them. The model then presents a detailed analysis of cost and pricing and offers over seventy options for customization. Cost includes wafer fabrication, wafer test, packaging and final test.

Revision History

Revision 1503 - updated RF testing times and usage. Added 200mm - 950nm - Renesas - 600V and 1200V IGBT processes. Changed equipment maintenance to partially scale with utilization. Adjusted default yields for RF.

Revision 1504 - fixed an issue where equipment maintenance costs weren't correctly calculating for used equipment. Added 200mm - 500nm - NXP - Trench - MOSFET - 40V, NMOS - Vanguard Fab 1. Added Vanguard as a foundry. Fixed a bug in the 200mm - 950nm - Renesas processes.

System Requirements

The Model runs inside of Microsoft Excel and requires the user to have Excel 2007 or higher installed on their computer. The model does not run in any other "Excel compatible" programs.

Model Cost and How to Buy

A single user license for one person to install the model on one computer is $1,900. An enterprise license allowing an unlimited number of users at a company is $6,460. The model is delivered by email within a few hours of our receiving an order. The model cost includes twelve months of updates plus twelve months of reasonable levels of phone and email support. A Web Ex training session is available on request. Renewal costs at the end of twelve months are discounted 1/3 off the current prices.
